Scott Cooper
Scott Cooper, CEcD, is the Economic Development Coordinator for the Economic Development Office, and his primary focus for the City is the redevelopment of downtown Peoria and the recruitment of a higher educational facility. Mr. Cooper has spent thirteen years in economic development and has been involved in all areas of economic development: business marketing and recruitment, business retention and expansion, shell building program development, downtown development, technology development, infrastructure development, and fundraising. His career highlights include working for cities in the Midwestern United States and Scottsdale and Peoria in Arizona in addition to managing a 250-member chamber. Mr. Cooper received his BS from Iowa State University and has several certificates in economic and organizational development.
