determined by the type of business you have. For

Peoria’s Economic Development Services
Department is sponsoring a free small-business
resource workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
on Thursday Sep. 30th. Charles Parnell of
Houston Partners International will be leading
this event titled “Understanding Self and
Others…A DISC Behavioral Workshop”. This 4-hour
process will provide participants with personal
Style Analysis reports. This facilitated
workshop will guide participants towards
personal and professional growth and
improvement. The objectives of the class are: 1)
Knowing your behavioral style 2) Being able to
identify and understand other behavioral styles
3) Knowing how to adapt your style to win in any
environment. Charles Parnell has over thirty
years experience in human resources. He earned a
Master of Science Degree in Industrial Relations
from Loyola University of Chicago. He has a
Lifetime Teaching Certificate from the Maricopa
Community College Board. He is a faculty member
at the University of Phoenix, facilitating
courses in human resource management,
organizational behavior, and employment law. He
has taught human resource management at Arizona
State University in the undergraduate school,
and Golden Gate University in the graduate
school.

The Peoria Chamber of Commerce offers two
monthly workshops. The first covers a variety of
relevant topics for small business owners and
the second is a networking session. These
workshops are the first and third Wed. of each
month and are held here on the City campus. The
events are free to members but also open to the
public for a fee. For more information, please

The City is hosting space for Arizona Small
Business Administration's (ASBA) Fast & Curious
Speed Networking from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. on the
first Tuesday of each month. The event is free
to members and open to the public for a small

The Lake Pleasant Chamber offers free networking
luncheons on the 4th Wed. of each month at
