Alex Hernandez serves as a Program Coordinator in the Economic Development Services Department, where he is dedicated to supporting the entrepreneurial community. His primary responsibilities include developing specialized workforce programs, enhancing access to acceleration funding in Peoria, strengthening entrepreneurial initiatives, and fostering partnerships within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Before joining the City of Peoria, Alex was the Entrepreneur Programs & Outreach Coordinator at the Better Business Bureau Serving the Pacific Southwest, Central & Inland California, where he was instrumental in managing the Empower by GoDaddy A Main St. Accelerator Program. This initiative provided vital support to small business owners, ranging from new entrepreneurs to those with over three years of experience.

Alex is a proud first-generation graduate of Arizona State University, holding a Master of Arts in Social Justice & Human Rights and a Bachelor of Arts in History, complemented by minors in Communication and Political Science.
